Hiking in the Adirondacks offers many different levels of exploration, from nature trails and local bike trails, to experienced climbs on one the the 46 high peaks. The Adirondacks is home to Mt. Marcy, the tallest mountain in NY State, with an elevation of 5,344 ft. Whichever level of hiking you enjoy, going hiking requires the right hiking equipment, plenty of water and is best done with a partner.
