Sacandaga Lake Terrain
Although the majority of the lake's bottom is flat, there are natural and man made characteristics. Rock walls, tree stumps and old foundations are just a few underwater features. Jimapco prints a great map for the Great Sacandaga lake.

Buoys
When the Sacandaga Lake is at its higher water levels you can navigate almost anywhere without problems. However, to be safe, it is very important to ride between all red and green channel markers. The lake contains white and orange danger buoys as well.

Both the Northville Bridge and Batchellerville Bridge are considered No Wake Zones

Boating Fun

Whether you want to rent or buy a boat, over a dozen studies have shown that being with family and friends, relaxing and being outdoors and close to nature are the primary reasons people spend time on the water. Recreation with family doesn't have to mean spending a fortune on a theme park vacation in order to have an experience that everyone will enjoy. Should you decide to buy a boat; the monthly payments can often be less than $200, which is well worth the improvement in quality of life.
